How to Forage & Eat Garden Snails

I absolutely HAD to share this.  I actually met someone who would go out in her garden and hunt down your garden variety snails… feed them whatever it is you feed them (this recipe uses fennel & cornmeal) to clean out their system and then Cook them.  As I was reading this I kept thinking…. this would go the way of any living thing in my house – I wouldn’t be able to kill them… they would get names and become pets (can we talk about how patient my Heart was this fall when we were catching mice in our kitchen with a LIVE Trap and he was reassuring me that he was releasing the mousie somewhere it would be able to find a decent “home” for the winter!).  ANYWAY…  As the author says “If you want to eat locally…”  *smile*  Enjoy!
