Need a bunch of cherry / grape tomatoes for a salad – check this out.
Take a fairly flat (not the ones with lots of ridges), plastic container lid, top UP, and fill with grape tomatoes. It works best if there are a lot so the lid is full.
Cover with another fairly flat plastic container lid, top Down. Note the gap.
Hold the top firmly, but don’t squish the tomatoes, and cut through the gap between the lids with a sharp or serrated knife. It helps if the tomatoes are similar in size or put the larger ones around the outside so that the lid stays fairly even.
VOILA !! How simple is that?
I learned this at a HealthCamp event and it really does come in handy, especially if you are cutting a lot of small tomatoes for a salad.
