- Questions:
- ? Demo for tomorrow – Tues: 2:10pm
- ? Will the new system work with eAdvising? still working out the licensing for the “old” WebAdvisor – no decision
- ? for those of us who have “drank the koolaid”.. how will this effect those of use who are using the portal, etc?? WebAdvisor still a web-based stand-alone system – the new self-service system is also Stand-alone but making it easier for information to “appear” in the portal – some screens are not built yet – do NOT need to have the portal to use but will be enhanced for the portal / there are lots of integration possibilities but they are still working out the details / making it easier for the information to flow between them
- ? Recruiter being “outside” the institution (CRM system) vs. the Portal & new self-service product for current students
- ? When Datatel brings out the new solution – it would be nice if Datatel could HELP show the tie-in for each individual institution – communicate better with the Users on how this is good for us, works with what we have, etc. There is not enough communication and no real help to show us HOW to use it
- ? Finalizing licensing and packaging? Goal is to have it done by early summer
- ? eAdvising school – More the prospect student planning?? Don’t understand how this relates to current students? Meant to address the Enrolled (current) student – helps students PLAN their degree plan
- ? Are the choices still based off of degree audit? This does hit degree audit – does NOT limit to degree audit but it does look at requirements – if you want enhancements to degree audit vs or remove degree audit – still discussing
- ? Is there any reporting looking at student plans so that appropriate plans for classes in the future can be made based on these plans? Answer is yes… possible
- ? What about pre-requisites & co-requisite issues need to be resolved? Electronic permission from advisor / faculty approval? There is a maintenance project that is an analog that should address the pre-requisite / co-requisite issues but can’t address ALL of them (there are too many out there) / re: faculty sign-off & approvals would be a follow on project
- ? There is a need for an eAdvising piece and that is not included? There Are Advisor approvals in the timeline – there will be the ability to implement advisor approval rules, etc.
- ? As they move forward with Banner as a new school with Datatel? Continued investment in supporting Colleague – looking at things that exist in the Colleague suite but do not exist in the Banner suite and how to integrate to help accelerate the innovation components for those schools – Know that there is some confusion but just 60-days into this
