Celebrating my Heart’s birthday – He really enjoys Boston Creme doughnuts and I saw this recipe for Boston Cream Pie Cupcakes, a Martha Stewart recipe – OK.. so First.. I would probably never do a Martha Steward recipe and, even more importantly, I Don’t BAKE but, for my Heart – here’s what I did:
Yellow cake mix cooked in muffin tins – cooled and then cut in half
Vanilla pudding made with a little less whole milk then called for so that the pudding is thicker – set into the fridge to cool – spread in the middle of the cut cupcakes
Topped with Alton Brown’s Chocolate Doughnut Glaze – I halved the recipe because we only had 12 cupcakes
Were supposed to let these sit for 20 minutes but once they were done??? yeah – Had to EAT them!
They were a Hit – YUM !
