New Year’s Eve dinner

There were multiple courses but we only ended up eating two… and drinking a Lot!

Sushi ingredients: cucumber and avocado.

Kampyo: dried gourd simmered with low sodium shoyumirin, and a little water.

Tamago yaki: egg omelette – not quite perfect but not bad.

Absolutely delicious sashimi-grade salmon with some extra cucumber spears on the side (and some sushi tips that didn’t fit on the other plate) – definitely one of the best parts of the dinner…  buttery and fresh – Perfect

shots of 100-proof ice cold vodka.  Probably would have gotten to more courses but there was a ton of sushi and after several (LOTS) shots of vodka and some Prosecco.. we were pretty “done” by midnight, after watching the ball drop in NYC.  Happy New Year and welcome 2012
