Choice of soup – Cream of Crab (lovely and rich with lots of crab) or Maryland Crab (lots of crab and really good flavor – spicy but not too much.. definitely not watery).. and you truly can have AYCE – my daughter had 3 bowls of soup, at least.

The crabs aren’t huge but also aren’t bad.  This was the first time my son’s girlfriend ever had Blue crabs… she seemed to have a good time!  If you’ve never had blue crabs… they aren’t too big or meaty but are delicious.  They are coated with Old Bay so the taste if very distinct.  Really the reason you stop eating is because you get tired and your fingers hurt.  *smile*

Also includes muscles and wings – which were delicious

Wednesday, June 27 – After last night’s feasting – simple chicken tacos: store-bought roasted chicken, store-bought (and our favorite) pico de gallo, avocado, and creamy Mexican topping on toasted corn tortillas – I really like this meal!

My Heart experimented making chicken liver pate with the intention of making it for the 4th of July – This batch was very good – the batch for 4th of July was totally on the mark – He did not do organic chicken liver

I had the whole lobster – it was pretty good but, for the price, I wouldn’t do it again – on the other hand, my Heart’s crab quesadilla was delicious.. lots of crab chunks that weren’t overwhelmed by the other ingredients.

Friday, June 29 – Took the family for baseball at Orioles Park at Camden Yards – we had tickets for the Picnic Level which is All You Can Eat “baseball” food
including hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, peanuts, soft drinks, and ice cream.  I like these seats… it is a good view, even if it is a bit far out.  It was super hot that night but the O’s won and that is all that matters.

Because it was Friday – Fireworks night.  This was also the night of the Derecho that went through Maryland … we missed the entire storm because we were on the metro and underground and then we had quite an adventure getting home because they stopped the subway about 3 stops from him.  Gotta Love adventures!  Hit the link to see some pictures of the damage, which was severe and included hundreds of thousands who did not have power for almost a week.

Saturday, June 30 – My Heart surprised me with noodle soup in bed – I love “mystery” soup brunches – this one was chicken broth, orange mango juice, chicken cooked in marsala, some Hoisin, rice noodles, and an egg – wow… what a combination of flavors that totally worked!   We just chilled at home and then went out to Don Pablos for dinner – nothing extraordinary but a definitely restful day!
