I had to share this one… First because I work at a university – second because they actually list the degree I originally wanted when I went to college – third because it’s just fun.
When I was looking at colleges I found University of the Pacific in Forest Grove, Oregon. At the time they offered an undergraduate degree in parapsychology. I told my father that I was applying and what I wanted to major in… I believe his response was: “Now That is a useful degree… here is where you are actually going now go find a decent job.” (sigh) So off I went to the University of Utah but that’s another story.
